I was immediately impressed my the ease of use of the app, the learning curve is minimal al long as the gestures are done properly. You can’t move your hand up too slowly, or else it wont be recognised. ControlAir made the list of “apps using signifinant energy” (even while Minecraft, iMovie and Eclipse are open alongside the app) so I would not recomment running this for a long time on a MacBook unless it is plugged in. After closing the lid/going to sleep, you must restart the app in order for the camera to be reactivated, that may be a bux to fix. Despite these flaws i’ve found, I would strongly recommend, they don’t significantly effect the user experience. This is a neat, advancing technology that I hope will be explored to greater lengths. Great job!

It works nicely but not fast or accurate enough for me to switch to it instead of other options (I have a Myo and Apple Watch too). I would totally use this in a presentation if I could play and stop the music quickly and confident that it would work. I would also like to see it work with Powerpoint or other presentation tools. I found that the controls worked best when I was several feet away from my MacBook however, that is not the normal position for me listening to music so for now, can’t justify using it regularly. While working, i am just a 2 feet from the camera and when presenting, I would likely be much further back. This is the future of controls so will be watching intently.

It works here and there, but aside from the bugs it’s a great concept.

Preferences are not working ! App is not working !

for some reason the menu that shows the play/pause goes way of the screen of my 13” macbook

I changed the lights and widdled with it, but could not get it to work reliablly. Great idea though,

This app continues to crash on me. I downloaded it and it crashes after I hit start tutorial. Ive restared my computer over and over again and it still wont work.

I’ve been off and on trying to give this app a chance since I saw it a few years ago. It always looks so cool seeing it in action on the videos. But it never works. For the longest time it said low light levels….when I had on every possible light in my room I could, outdoor light, ceiling light, bed light, lamps, everything. It finally got past that issue but now it says the camera on my computer isn’t good enough….my computer is a brand new 2015 Macbook Pro so obviously this application is just a scam…I keep hoping it’ll work but it never does. This needs to be removed from the app store ASAP.

I think it’s a gread concept, but it doesn’t work most of the time. I decided to delete it because I waste more time trying to get it to work than I would playing or skipping songs.

I could not believe that this waas even an app when I learned about this. My mind was blown away. It looked so cool, but as I clicked download, I knew that there would be problems. Obviously a cool idea and generally a good app, but it seems to be better for desktop users. I use a 2011 MacBookPro, and I don’t always use it on a desk. Sometimes the laptop is in my lap or I’m lying on the ground and using it. Because of this, it doesn’t work. And here’s why: Upon setup it asks you to adjust your camera so that your head is in some sort of a “circle". Because the position of a desktop is permanent, this works great, but it’s an inconvenience for people who use their laptop in different positions or don’t always open it up the same way. Sometimes while I was using this it would think my head was an index finger because I had adjusted my position or camera angle and my head was no longer in the "circle”. Sometimes my index finger would be in the “circle” so it wouldn’t read, thinking it was my head. This probably works better on desktops, but definitely not laptops. Oh well, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. I use this quite a bit and I love it. And the idea is still really awesome.

When I heart about this, it sounded amazing and I was so surprised that it was free! When I downloaded and clicked it, it went through the process and when it came to the tutorial, the only thing that worked was muting it. When I escaped the app and came back to it, it didn’t work at all. The icons on the top didn’t work either. I was very disappointed that it didn’t show, I have a MacBook Air 10.10.5 i believe.

It really sounded cool, so I downloaded it and it made me adjust the camera to fit my head in a box to locate me and it doesn’t work so well. It is cool to think about using this for my macbook but I think like some other users that it might be better for a desktop than laptop unless apple worked on the camera detecting faces and fingers with more flexibility for macbook users.

I spent 15 minutes trying to get it working on my Macbook Pro. When I found the right distance, though, it became a lot easier to use. I’d give it a 5 if you add more functions with other apps, besides music.

I really like this app. Being able to play your music with using your finger is great. The controls are fluid as well. What needs to be fixed though is when you quit the app after using it the first time, it doesn’t work the second time you try. Other then that i’m satisfied with this app.

This app is a great idea. It only works sometimes though. It keeps saying my camera has a low frame rate. Overall this app is great. Most of the time it would be faster to just do it normally.

Nice app but it has little accuracy on Macbook Air Mid 2011.

This is absolutely amazing, new technology, but stopped working and bugged right up after 20min of use. Please fix

This app sucks…it doesn’t even work

The app froze during the tutorial and would freeze or just stop seeing me after a few seconds when using it with Spotify. This is on a 15" 2013 MacBook Pro with the latest updates to Yosemite. I decided to just discard this app, after all I have a row of buttons that are 100% responsive at the top of my keyboard. It wasn’t worth the frustration of waving my hand around trying to get this app’s attention.

It doesnt even work. After i press start tutorial during the setup the app closes and it doesnt work so its a waste
