ControlAir App Reviews
You should improved the quality of hands/fingers detection and added compatibility with Deezer, or orthers Music streaming platforms if it’s possible, ( except Spotify of course ) What else ? It’s a very enjoyed application, good work! :)
Amazing
Amazing App to control music with fingers. Works perfectly !
Hi, The application works well for Itunes but I can see a great potential for Microsoft Powerpoint or Keynote. The application is very sensitive and reaching the right command is not easy the first time. But after some training it is ok. Well done guy, waiting for news and improvement. Olivier
PowerPoint Support
You should add PowerPoint support. I would pay for that app
Funktioniert nicht!
App funktioniert nicht auf MacBook Pro MD101...
Waste of ten minutes of my life
Just shows a symbol of a finger on the screen. Doesn’t react at all to any gestures.
Works flawlessly with iTunes. Other applications that are enabled for it work somewhat, but for an initial release it is very promising. Advised to only use when plugged in and in a comfortable enviornment. Battery life takes a bit of a hit since the camera is always looking for the prompt. Other than that a very well-rounded application. Looking forward to future updates.
At first, it wasnt working for me. Then I restarted my computer and it magically started working. This only issue with this app is that I goota be kinda far from my laptop but otherwise it’s great!
I installed it on Yosemite… but it simply doesn’t work. I can’t get past the first directions in the tutorial where it asks to raise my index finger. I tried for several minutes and gave up.
Read about this today, thought I’d give it a shot. The setup is not intuitive. The TOS/AUP is completely blanked out (can’t read it at all) and one of the setup screens is also completely black, with no instructions on what to do. Once the app starts (and fires up iTunes automatically…), the very first instruction, put your finger up, does nothing. You can imagine the final sequence of fingers it received. Gave it two stars because the idea is nice, but until I can even read what I have to agree to start the app, and the app itself has some work done, it doesn’t deserve more. MBA 2014 @ 10.10.2
The app is really good as a start but needs to work on the mute function as showed in the ad, tried too many times ….doesnt work. The play/pause button if could be linked with youtube or any media as in iphone’s pull up menu bar would be amazing.
mac book air yosemite and it dosent do anything i hold up my fingers and dosent do anything havent made it far only the tutoriel whicj failed every time out of 100
Its actually good but theres a thing, when i hold up my index finger it dosen’t really reconize it Works sometimes though, for the next update maybe make it support youtube would really like that :) Other than that really good app!
This is a really good idea because it is simple and useful in certain situations (and fun!). But it is simply not accurate enough (at all). Needs to be improved (doesn’t recognize that my finger is raised)
Terrible App
What a waste of time. Raised my index finger but nothing happens
This app is a very future fore-seeing app, it brings what is in the future to now! Had no problem with gesture control, most of the time I raise my finger the play/pause drop down pops up. The only problem may be compatibility with the lower resolution 640x480 camera in older macs but had no problem with my MacBook Air!
Not working
I click on start tutorial, but nothing happens and the app disappear. Can’t use the app.
Worked incredibly for the first day or so (I felt like a wizard) and I really enjoyed using it, but now when I go to open the app it won’t start automaticly and when I go to set it up (again) The app just crashes… Love the app, please fix
When the app is started it starts FaceTime. That’s OK but what is not OK is that there is no way to quit the app (short of throwing it in the trash). While the app is running initial response to gestures, even in good light, is at best sporadic and at worst simply non-existent. Once past the initial response, IE the drop-down is in place, response to gestures is super-sensitive and because of this, barely usable. Needs work but as proof of concept is good start.
I’m not going to lie, this program is pretty cool. It’s like leaping into the future. Just raise your index finger, and you can perform a limited number of actions. It sort of reminds me of the Leap Motion, but this is free! For me, it works pretty well. Selecting buttons can be a little difficult at times, and the response to you raising your finger can sometimes be a bit slow. However, despite these shortcomings, the app *works*. Is it faster than using your keyboard, or just clicking around? Absoloutely not. Is it fun, and makes you feel like you’re in Star Trek? For sure! I’d give it a try! Maybe for some people that are slower using their mouse and keyboard than I am, this could actually be more than just a neat novelty! Great work developer, If the slow-er response time is ironed out, and the gestures are a bit easier to use, I could definately see myself using this app a lot!
